I love the idea of creation and the beauty of pure imagination. I see my work as a window to a parallel world. A world where the beauty of the Japanese Edo period clashes with the power of present symbols of Western culture and modernity. My art style is an accurate reflection of the traditional Japanese Suibokuga technique, which requires a lot of time and attention to detail.

Japanese artist with strong Latin American roots.

Sayuri’s childhood swayed within the beauty and richness of the Japanese and Colombian cultures, a mixture of flavors and colors that awoke a true passion for art and its power to convey deep social and personal feelings.

Sayuri’s style accurately reflects the traditional Japanese Suibokuga technique, which requires a lot of time and attention to detail. Sayuri is currently fully dedicated to the creation of modern culture-relevant art.
