Yoojin's paintings grew out of a need to translate her visual memories onto tangible surfaces. Her secret garden of flowers is both real and dreamt, feminine and masculine, superficial and charged with feelings—inarticulate residues of sensations and experiences that remain fragrant within ourselves.
Yoojin Shin
(b. 1995) is a Korean-American artist currently based in California. She was
born in Seoul, South Korea, where she briefly attended a private art studio as a young child before immigrating to the United States at the age of eleven.
In January 2020, she co-founded The Baram House, a multimedia arts magazine publishing the works of young
emerging artists, writers, and musicians from across the globe.
Yoojin's floral paintings have been collected privately across Europe and the United States.
